Sarah uses a holistic and collaborative approach with her clients. She understands clients are the experts of their own lives and play a deep role in the development and implementation of their treatment. This is accomplished utilizing Rogerian, client centered, non judgmental philosophies. In addition, Sarah works from a strengths based perspective helping her clients become their best selves.
As a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work, Sarah was trained in sex therapy, HIV/AIDS counseling, CBT, motivational interviewing, and substance use counseling. Throughout her career, Sarah has worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, PTSD, HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, LGBTQ affirmative counseling as well as psychopharmacology and it’s impacts on treatment.
