Throughout Kimberly’s career she has worked successfully with clients who have experienced problems such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, personality disorders, and difficult relationships. Her aim is to create a warm, supportive, and safe space for her clients to help achieve their personal goals. Together she works with clients on understanding feelings and behaviors regarding their areas of concern while helping them to practice healthier coping mechanisms in order to fully participate in life.
Kimberly began her career as a professional ballerina and went on to become an entertainment lawyer before deciding to make a career change. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Social Work and is certified in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) through Professor Christopher Fairburn of the Centre for Research on Eating Disorders at Oxford and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-CBT). Additionally, she has been trained in Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan’s training company. Kimberly is also skilled in applying psychodynamic therapy and working with clients in 12-Step programs. She works with individuals, families, and couples and specializes in eating disorders, addiction, motherhood issues (pregnancy, infertility, miscarriage), treating orthodox Jewish men and women, and treating clients in the entertainment industry.
