Jessica Knapp, LMSW
Jessica works with her clients to empower them by creating a trusting, non-judgmental, empathetic and supportive therapeutic relationship. Her goal is for all her clients to lead the happiest and most successful lives possible. She’s found that each client is the expert in their own lives and it’s her role to find them the right tools for the job. By forming a partnership with her clients, Jessica assists them in identifying their individual goals and methods for achieving them.
During the past 9 years of practicing, she’s worked with individuals experiencing mood and thought disorders, trauma and PTSD, violence, harassment, discrimination, gender dysphoria, sexual issues, chemical dependency and substance abuse issues, among others. What makes her practice unique is the wide range of individuals she’s worked with and the different problems Jessica and her clients have addressed together.
In her practice, she uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Social Skills Training and Mindfulness exercises to treat her clients and teach them practical skills to cope with and transform their lives for the better.
