Autumn practices from a place of optimism, honesty, humor, and direct practicality. She comes from a place of warmth and genuine interest in the person seeking treatment and thinks of the therapeutic relationship as a unique collaborative partnership. Autumn is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who received training working with children, adolescents, and adults with trauma histories. She specializes in helping individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression or difficulties within relationships or self-esteem overcome the daily intrusion of negative thoughts and behaviors, such as substance abuse or self-harm, by providing solution-focused treatment and support. Her interests are in trauma, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ identity and supports, relationships, and parenting.
Autumn’s therapeutic approach is eclectic drawing from Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Theory (DBT) with influences of mindfulness. Her goal is to help clients identify what is not working and make steps toward managing stressors where applicable or eliminating them completely. If you struggle with anxiety, depression, are feeling stuck, or are transitioning into your new identity as a parent or grappling with the lack of support with your gender identity, she can help and offers compassion and strength when you need it most.
Autumn holds a Master of Social Work degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Skidmore College.
